"A dragon is left in charge of protecting their home after her father has left to hunt food for the upcoming winter. She’s put to the test when a boy from the nearby village her father had warned her about ends up seeking shelter in their home."

Dragonkin is my final year film as a student in Griffith University 2025. Produced alongside Charlotte Tan, this film aims to tell a story about kindness and compassion, no matter how different one is. It was also a good way to get in touch with my love for dragons and challenging myself with making an animation that has animal locomotion.Besides directing the film, I was lead in Story and Character Design. I also did animation work in Roughs, Tiedowns, Inbetweens and Cleanup. In post-production, I did editing in both video and sound.

Ceasefire (2024)

Ceasefire (2024) is a short student film directed by James Kirkwood. I was an animator providing roughs and cleanups. All animations shown are done by me, from its roughs to tiedowns.

Chips and Toon (Internship)

I interned at Chips and Toon Pte Ltd in 2019, providing my skills in 2D for a range of tasks. From prop design, to UI concept and background character design.Prop designs were based off established prop designs and the style of the main character. Builds of the props were done in Animate and rigged to inlude multiple versions of the prop either in different angles or if it was open or closed. Background characters went through conceptualization and refinement before getting to a final design following the style of main characters.

Dragonkin (2025)

Art Direction Pitch
(Yuki Onna)

This was an assignment for my Art Direction Course where I had to pitch three treatments for an IP, Yuki Onna. I developed the characters, props and environments for the three treatments as one would pitch to a studio.

Environment Dev
(Overgrowth)

In this assignment, I had to create an interior and exterior environment using my own pitched style in a made up project. I pitched a post-apocalyptic video game in a pixelated style with inspirations from Art Nouveau.

(Dragon's Keep)

Using Australian environments as main inspirations, I came up with a setting and story of a dragon sanctuary. I had to additionally render out four different mood and lighting settings for the assignment.
